Body proves Bigfoot no myth, hunters say

(CNN) -- A policeman and a former corrections officer say that on Friday they will unveil evidence of what they claim is their biggest find ever: the body of Bigfoot.

Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, a pair of Bigfoot-hunting hobbyists from north Georgia, say they found the creature's body in a wooded area and spotted several similar creatures that were still alive.

The carcass of the furry half-man, half-ape is 7 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs more than 500 pounds, they say. However, the two are not disclosing the exact location of their discovery to protect the remaining creatures.

Bush Says Breakaway Regions Must Remain Part of Georgia

CRAWFORD, Texas — President Bush said Saturday that the two disputed regions at the center of a conflict between Georgia and Russia must remain part of Georgia, but called the signing of a cease-fire between the two nations a "hopeful step."

Russia's president signed the cease-fire plan Saturday, a day after Georgia's president reluctantly agreed to the pact after lengthy talks with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Russian forces have since pulled back from the center of a town near the Georgian capital.

But Bush, speaking at his Crawford, Texas, ranch, issued a stern warning to Russia, whose president said Friday that it's "unlikely" the two breakaway regions — South Ossetia and Abkhazia — will be able to stay in one state with Georgia.

Illegal immigrant from Honduras executed in Texas

HUNTSVILLE — A convicted killer from Honduras could not be saved from a trip to the Texas death chamber despite pleas he unfairly was denied legal help from his consulate when he was arrested for killing a Dallas-Fort Worth store manager during a robbery.

The execution Thursday evening of Heliberto Chi, 29, was the second death penalty case in Texas this week to focus on international treaty issues."God forgive them," Chi said from the death chamber gurney. "Receive my spirit."

New trial sought in Beliew DWI case

Both sides in the case of a Hunt County man, sentenced to prison last month after receiving his 14th driving while intoxicated (DWI) conviction, want to see a different outcome.

The defense attorney for Ronnie Victor Beliew believes his client should get a new trial because the sentence Beliew received was too long.

Hunt County District Attorney F. Duncan Thomas is appealing the sentence Beliew received because he believes it was not long enough.

Relatives of U.S. Men's Volleyball Coach Stabbed in Beijing, 1 Dead

BEIJING — A knife-wielding Chinese man attacked two relatives of a coach for the U.S. Olympic men's volleyball team at a tourist site in Beijing, killing one and injuring the other on the first day of the Olympics on Saturday, team officials and state media said.

The man then committed suicide by throwing himself from the second story of the site, the 13th century Drum Tower just five miles from the main Olympics site.

Comedian and Actor Bernie Mac Dies at Age 50

CHICAGO — Bernie Mac, an Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor and comedian, died suddenly Saturday at age 50 of complications from pneumonia.

The comedian suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body's organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease.

Ahmadinejad: Iran won't give up nuclear rights

TEHRAN,Iran (AP) - Iran will not give up "a single iota of its nuclear rights," the country's president said Saturday, rebuffing an informal deadline to stop expanding uranium enrichment or face more sanctions.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made the remarks during discussions with Syrian President Beshar Assad, who arrived in Tehran Saturday for a two-day visit, the Iranian president's official Web site said.

Assad is in Tehran to discuss Iran's controversial uranium enrichment following a request from French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the Democrats adjourned the House, turned off the lights and killed the microphones, but Republicans are still on the floor talking gas prices.

Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) and other GOP leaders opposed the motion to adjourn the House, arguing that Pelosi's refusal to schedule a vote allowing offshore drilling is hurting the American economy. They have refused to leave the floor after the adjournment motion passed at 11:23 a.m., and they are busy bashing Pelosi and her fellow Democrats for leaving town for the August recess.

Here we are at the 3rd Annual Hunt County GOP Club Picnic and you have to ask yourself are we making any progress?

Yesterday in Washington DC Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi adjourned the house, turned off the microphones and cut off the lights rather than listen to conservative Republican Members of the House demand that the obstuctionist Democrat congress take some action on offshore drilling. Proving without a doubt that the Democrat game plane of running away rather than face reality is not to limited to members of the Texas House facing Redistricting.

This is why we need to Elect John McCain!

If you watch the news or read the papers you know that Senator Obama has just finished his "Brother Love Traveling Snake Oil World Tour". The crowds that he drew in Europe and the Middle East leave no doubt that he is the leading Presidential Candidate amoung people who wish to KILL US! Do we want to turn over the defense of our nation to a man who wont even wear an American Flag Lapel Pin?

This is why we need to Elect John McCain!

Recently to the delighted surprise of many of us the Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment still applys here in the United States. However, there were four members of the Supreme Court that voted NO in that decision. Four sitting Supreme Court Judges did not think we have the right to bear arms. Do you want Brother Love appointing Bill Clinton to the Supreme Court?

This is why we need to Elect John McCain!

Here in Hunt County we are blessed. We have a conservative representing us in Washington DC --- Ralph Hall. He has been the voice of conservative East Texas in the United States House since most of us were in Diapers. We have a State Senator --- Bob Deuell, that has worked his tail off for our beliefs in Austin. We also have Dan Flynn as a State Rep. Dan has been a shining beacon of Conservative Christian Philosphy in a State House that at times seems to have lost touch with its roots.

Come November we need to turn out our Conservative base and send a message to the County Courthouse, The State Capital and to DC that we DEMAND a government that respects the Constitution, Guards our Borders and will stand up to the Terrorists that are trying to kill us!

This is Why we need to Elect John McCain President and a Republican Congress, State House and County Courthouse. It is up to us to make our voices heard!

Last Week Brother Love and his Traveling Snake Oil Tour took their ultra liberal message to Europe and the Middle East. Judging by the large crowds and excited greetings there is no doubt that Brother Love is the leading Candidate for President among people that HATE American and want to KILL Americans. Not since Elmer Gantry has so many people bought into the snake oil scam of a single charismatic con artist. However, unlike Elmer Gantry the snake oil that Brother Love (Barak Obama) is selling will do irreparable harm to America. Lets take a quick look at some of the "Ideals" that he is promising to deliver if he is elected President.

Taxes -- Brother Love promises to undo the Bush Tax rollback. Now I know most folks think that this will only affect the rich. Of course the reason people think that is because the Mainstream Media (ABC, CBS, NBC & CNN) all report that "Fact". Unfortunately like the media reports of the mass murders in the Superdome during Hurricane Katrina their reporting and the truth have very little in common. If Senator Obama repeals the Bush Tax Cuts expect your annual tax bill to almost double that is if you make less than 50,000 dollars a year. If you make more than that, you might as well just sign your check over to Uncle Sam cause what you are gonna get to keep would not even make a good tip at IHOP.

Health Care -- Better get sick now, cause after Brother Love gets his hands on the American Health care system you will be dealing with a redtape jungle that would make Hillary-Care look like a good ideal. Be prepared for a health care system with all the efficiency of FEMA (remember New Orleans) and the Compassion of the IRS! Brother Love will mandate what medical student’s study, which specialties they go into and where they can practice. You think the waiting line at the Emergency Room is long? Just wait till Senator Obama's plan is put into affect and the waiting list for routine surgeries is measured in Months instead of days and the wait for Emergency is measured in days instead of hours. If you want an example of what the medical care will be like just take a trip up to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lancaster Texas. Or go back and read the news reports of the "Health Care" that our returning soldiers were receiving at Walter Reed in Washington DC.

Iraq -- Can you say "Cut and Run"? Our troops will be pulled out of Iraq so fast that there will be traffic jams in the air above Baghdad. I realize that some of yall might think this is a good thing. Look how well it worked for Spain when they backed down to the Terrorists, It resulted in MORE terrorist attacks in Spain. Let me remind everyone of a few facts, World War Two ended in Europe in April of 1945 ---- There are STILL American Troops in Germany. World War Two ended in the Pacific in August of 1945 --- There are STILL American Troops in Japan. The Korean War ended in the mid 1950's --- There are STILL American Troops in Korea as a matter of fact I did a tour at Osan Air Base in Korea. In the early 90's we fought a war against IRAQ and didn't stay around to make sure the job was finished. As a direct result of that we had to fight a second war with Iraq!

Iran -- Brother Love wants to sit down and have Tea and cookies with President Ahmadinejad of Iran. This is the same terrorist that attacked the American Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and took Americans hostage for 444 days. This is the same terrorist that routinely refers to the United States as the "Great Satan". This is the same terrorist that has threatened to destroy both Israel and the United States. This is the same terrorist that is spending millions of oil dollars to build a Nuke. Well Gee Whiz, why do I get the feeling we cant trust this piece of human scum?

Abortion -- Brother Love voted in favor of Partial Birth Abortion!

Gas Prices -- Brother Loved voted AGAINST drilling in AMWR! Brother Love voted AGAINST Drilling off the coasts of our nation. Senator Obama has voted AGAINST every single bill that would have helped to cut our dependency on Foreign Oil.

Gun Control – Brother Love is so far to the left on this issue it is amazing that he does not fall over. Senator Obama Is OPPOSED to Conceal and Carry Laws. Senator Obama is In FAVOR Of restricting the inter-state sale of Firearms. Senator Obama is in FAVOR of REQUIRING a trigger lock for all guns. Senator Obama is in FAVOR of the BANNING Of all Semi-Automatic Shotguns and other of the so called "Assault Weapons".

Senator Obama is Promising Change we can believe in. I believe the changes he has in mind are BAD for America!

A Lady Named Irena - a true story

There recently was a death of a 98 year old lady named Irena.
During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto.
She had an ulterior motive...

She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German).
Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried, and she carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger kids).
She also had a dog in the back, that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in, and out of the ghetto.

The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.

During her time and course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.

She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, and arms, and beat her severely.
Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out, and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.

After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it, and reunited the family.
Most of course had been gassed.

Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes, or adopted.
Last year Irena was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize....
She LOST.

Marine Gunnery Sgt. Gary Maziarz said patriotism motivated him to join a spy ring, smuggle secret files from Camp Pendleton and give them to law enforcement officers for anti-terrorism work in Southern California.

He knew his group was violating national security laws. But he said bureaucratic walls erected by the military and civilian agencies were hampering intelligence sharing and coordination, making the nation more vulnerable to terrorists.

Yet U.S. Senate candidate Rick Noriega opposed the measure, putting him far outside the mainstream and on the opposite side of most Texas Democrats.

Noriega objected to a provision in the FISA reform that prevents lawsuits against telecommunications companies that acted in good faith at the request of the administration and monitored potential terrorist communications. Thanks in part to disruption of terrorist planning, the U.S. has not suffered another domestic attack since Sept. 11, 2001.

Iran Test-Fires More Missiles in Gulf; Rice Issues Warning

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran test-fired more long-range missiles overnight in a second round of exercises meant to show that the country can defend itself against any attack by the U.S. or Israel, Iranian state television reported Thursday.

The weapons have "special capabilities" and included missiles launched from naval ships in the Persian Gulf, along with torpedoes and surface-to-surface missiles, the broadcast said. It did not elaborate.

Yemen Nationals at Guantanamo Pose Problem for U.S.

WASHINGTON — U.S. and Yemen remain at odds over a proposal to release more than one-third of the detainees from Guantanamo Bay, officials said Monday, even as the Bush administration wrestles with the future of the military prison.

About 100 of the approximately 270 prisoners remaining at Guantanamo Bay are Yemeni nationals. A U.S. delegation visited the capital city of San'a last week to discuss the possible transfer of a few detainees to Yemen. Yemeni officials hoped to negotiate the release of all but the most dangerous prisoners.

"There is no progress at all," said Waleed Alshahari, an official following the talks for the Yemeni Embassy in Washington. "The situation remains as it is."

Yesterday afternoon my sweet wife and I decided to go to a movie. The one we saw was the latest installment in the Marvel Movie Universe "The Incredible Hulk" It cost $8 bucks to get in and $5.50 for popcorn and a drink, so we invested $13.50 plus gas money into enjoying this movie.

The best think I can saw about the movie was that the Air Conditioner in the Theater worked real good and the popcorn was decent. I will admit the movie was better than Daredevil but it was a major disappointment to us. If you have to see this movie wait until it comes out on DVD and then RENT it.

The unique prospect of sailing in open waters at the North Pole during the minimum ice cover in August and September has about a 50-50 chance of becoming reality, says one climate scientist's prediction holds true.

"The issue is that, for the first time that I am aware of, the North Pole is covered with extensive first-year ice — ice that formed last autumn and winter," Dr. Mark Serreze, a senior research scientist at the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colo., told The Independent newspaper in London. "I'd say it's even odds whether the North Pole melts out."

The 7x10-foot cell, on display on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., lacks amenities like bedding, toiletries and a copy of the Koran, and it has nothing to illustrate that regular meals are served to inmates three times a day.

Planet hunters say it's just a matter of time before they lasso Earth's twin, which almost surely is hiding somewhere in our star-studded galaxy.

Momentum is building: Just last week, astronomers announced they had discovered three super-Earths — worlds more massive than ours but small enough to most likely be rocky — orbiting a single star. And dozens of other worlds suspected of having masses in that same range were found around other stars.

"Being able to find three Earth-mass planets around a single star really makes the point that not only may many stars have one Earth, but they may very well have a couple of Earths," said Alan Boss, a planet formation theorist at the Carnegie Institution of Washington in Washington, D.C.

Entire Lone Oak police force resigns

LONE OAK — The City of Lone Oak has no police force.As of Thursday night, both Chief Neil Dent and Lone Oak’s only other officer, Mike Roach, had both submitted their resignations. The Lone Oak City Council, after meeting in executive session for less than an hour Thursday, accepted the resignation of Dent.

Lone Oak Mayor Lisa Willis did not say what reasons Dent gave for resigning.

“He just gave us his resignation on (June) 16,” Willis said.

The Stars had to reach a little to take Beskorowany with the 59th overall pick (he was the 11th-ranked goalie by Central Scouting and was the fifth goalie taken), and Bernhardt said moves like that contributed to making this the most challenging draft in Dallas Stars history.

Another week has slipt passed us and my beloved Rangers continue to be stuck on 500% baseball. They now stand at 38-38 7 1/2 games out of first and 11 1/2 games out of last in the American League Worst(West). One of our local Sports Talk Show hosts insists on calling the Tampa Bay Devil Rays the Tampa Bay Double A's, Tampa's record is 44 - 30! I guess that would mean my beloved Rangers should be playing single A ball.

The Cowboys finished mini-camp this week and the two big questions remain. 1) Will Adam "Pacman" Jones managed to not get into trouble long enough to get reinstated and 2) Will Terry Glen play for the cowboys this year. Personally I have real doubts about Pacman Jones, he is a thug and an insult to the Star.

Scientists in charge of the Phoenix Mars lander are more convinced there is ice near the Martian North pole as they review new images from the Red Planet.

Eight small pieces of a bright material "have vanished from inside a trench where they were photographed by NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander four days ago, convincing scientists that the material was frozen water that vaporized after digging exposed it," said a statement from Jet Propulsion Laboratory's website.

"It must be ice," said Phoenix Principal Investigator Peter Smith of the University of Arizona, Tucson. "These little clumps completely disappearing over the course of a few days, that is perfect evidence that it's ice. There had been some question whether the bright material was salt. Salt can't do that."

Hillary Clinton plans to join Barack Obama on the campaign trail for the first time next week, a sign to her supporters that it’s time to unite behind the presumptive Democratic nominee after a bitter primary.

The Obama campaign sent out a brief e-mail Friday morning announcing the two former rivals would campaign together June 27. The e-mail said more details are forthcoming.

A day before they campaign, Obama and Clinton also plan to meet in Washington with some of her top contributors in an effort to calm donors frustrated with Obama’s campaign. The former first lady will introduce Obama to her financial backers.

Catching up

Today it was back to work. Not exactly fun but that is life. Seems like a lot of stuff happened while I was unplugged from the news and down in Houston for the Convention.

Tim Russert died last week. A major shock he was only 58. While I am not a big fan of the main stream media Russert seemed a bit more balanced than the majority of the big name media types. I can't even guess who NBC will get to replace him on Meet the Press.

The Boston Celtics have apparently been wearing their turtleneck jerseys because the Lakers are still alive in the NBA Championship. As bad as the Lakers were playing when we left last week had me thinking the Series would end before we got home.

Tiger Woods was forced into a Playoff round to win the US Open by a relative unknown. Tiger of course won the Open today in a sudden death round after he Rocco Mediate played a dead even 18 hole playoff round. It was obvious that Tiger was in pain by te end of the round.

My Beloved Texas Rangers remain in third place a game under 500. Seven and a half games out of first but a full ten games out of last. Like most Ranger fans I know longer "Expect" them to play great baseball but it would be real nice if they could play better than 500 ball. I will admit thier a couple of players on the Rangers that actually look like they belong on a championshiop ballclub.

Well we made it back from the Convention in one piece. Tired and broke but happy.

We slept in this morning not getting up till almost 9. Then we packed up the car, It's amazing hw much stuff you can accumalate at a 3 day convention. Then left for Home around 11AM. We got home around 6:30 night. Of course I guess should explain that we made frequent stops on the way home at souveneir shops to pick up little things for our kids and Grand Kids.

Texas State Republican Convention Day Three

Another very long but satisfying day. I attended the Breakfast given by Congressman Burgess this morning. Dr Burgess is not my Congressman but he is very conservative and a man I have a great deal of respect for. Congressman Burgess represents the CD beside mine and I went to the breakfast with some of the folks from his area.

Our CD Caucus started promptly at 8:20 (only 20 minutes late). The business of the day was to elect our 3 delegates, 3 alternates to the National Convention. We also had to elect a National Committeman and a National Committewoman and an Elector.

Our Caucus elected the following delegates:

David Peek from Rockwall County
Tim Stainbeck From Hunt County
Dixie (I Cant remember her last name) from Collin County

Three outstanding conservatives that have worked hard for Conservative and Republican causes for a long time in North East Texas.

Cathy Adams was elected National Congresswoman for the State of Texas and
Bill Cocker was re-elected National Congressman for the State of Texas.

I would like to take a moment and give kudos to Bora Van Dormalynn. She ran a good clean race for National Congresswoman and the class to push for Party Unity rather turn the election into a bitter floor fight with Cathy. This lady deserves our respect and gratitude for setting aside her Personal ambitions for what is best for the Republican Party.

I could only hope that a certain Congressman from Texas follow her example and urge his supporters to return to the Republican Party instead of trying to disrupt the conventions. The most important goal for the 2008 election is not Electing Senator John McCain it is to PREVENT BARACK OBAMA from becoming President. I would hope that every single person that complains about Senator McCain and insist that they will not "Vote for the Lesser of Two Evils" or "Compromise their Principles" and vote for moderate would just take a few moments and consider exactly how they will feel the first time they hear NBC-CBS-ABC and CNN Call Senator Barack Obama ----- President Elect Barack Obama. I wish they would conisder how they will feel when "President Obamma" sits down with the President of Iran and discusses American Troop reductions in Iraq.

The third and final Session of the 2008 Texas State went without a single hitch. Our slate of National delegates was approved, Our National Committeeman and Committeewoman were both approved.

Texas State Republican Convention Day Two

Today started extremely early. I went to the Breakfast hosted by Senator Bob Deuell (he is my State Senator). Pretty good spread and a very good speach by Michael Williams the Railroad Commissioner. This was the third speach by Michael Williams that I have heard at the Convention so far and every one of them has been outstanding.

The next thing on today's schedule was the Senate District Caucus. As expected the Ron Paul people nominated Paul Perry to replace Tina Benkiser as Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas. Let me tip my hat to the Caucus Chairman David Peak of Rockwall County. He did such a good job of explaining every vote and ensuring that we all followed the rules, abiding by every comma and period. The result of his work was that our Senate District Caucus ran very smoothly and with a minimum of problems.

We broke for lunch. Again I have to thank Larry Donnenwerth. His suggestion that we go downstairs to the floor of the convention and reserve a section of seats for our delegation. Two hours later when it was time to seat all the delegates we were one of the Counties that did NOT have to scramble to find seats together for the entire delegation. This ensured that we were able to quickly tally our votes and keep a tight control on who was votingin our delegation. I can proudly boast that due to this and the constant work of David and Mike Hale we always had every delegate or alternate that the Party rules required to be seated for a vote in place.

There was quite a bit of controversy over a few items of business that were done by the Convention today. The most significant sticking point (in my opion) was the Nueces County Delegation. Let me be honest I dont know all the facts that were involved in the challenge to the delegates from Nueces County but it "appears" that there may have been some legitimate problems with the procedures for "Contesting" a delegate. I would hope that in the future the procedure would be more open to inspection. I am not saying that I think that there arguments were valid, the problem is that I don't know. We as delegates to the State Convention and grass roots workers should be completely confident in the legitmacy of every single delegate to the Convention and in this case we cant be. Of course the behaviour of some of the people that were questioning the legitimacy of the procedure did absoultly nothing to help their cause. I can understand why they were upset but the moment you stop being civil the average delegate stops listening to you.

On the postive side, Several of us delegates agreed to "Give up" our seats to delegates during the opening of the Session. As a result of this we were able to "Set" almost every alternate delegate while the opening speachs were going on. I am a firm believer in trying to ensure that every single person that Hunt County sends to the Convention get the chance to sit on the Floor of the convention at some point during the Convention. This may seem like a trivial piece of fluff to some folks but I remember what it was like when I first got involved with the Political Process. I Can remember the thrill I got the first time I got the chance to sit on the floor during the State Convention.

Newt Gingrich and Govenor Mike Huckabee both gave good but not great speaches to the Convention. There is no doubt in mind the two best performances given at the convention today were by Senatory John Corynn and Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams. I sincerly hope that Commissioner Williams considers running for higher office in the not too distant future. I think he would be an outstanding Lt Govenor or Govenor.

Darlene and I attended the Republican Party Banquet tonight. The "Key" speaker at the banquet was Govenor Mitt Romney of Mass. Govenor Romney remains in my mind a very viable candidate for the Presidency in the future. Although I am not 100% sold on him I still think he would be a very strong choice for VP slot with Senator John McCain. After the banquet we stopped by some of the "Meet and Greet" events being given at the Hilton. We had a photo made with Attorney General Greg Abbott. Mr Abbott is without a doubt one of the truely great Attorney Generals in Texas History.

So far this convention has NOT been a repeat of the Straw Poll. The Ron Paul supporters have been very well behaved and the disruptions to the convention have been minimal.

Texas Republican State Convention

Day One:

Today was the first day of the Texas State Republican Convention. The first State Convention since I became the County Chairman and to put it mildly it was very different from every other State Convention I have attended.

The Hunt County Delegation was seated and very orderly in no small part due to the outstanding help of Eric Wesson 3, Mike and David Hale. Most of the Convention Business today was just doing the "Organizing" work. ie appointing the Permanent Committee's and seating the delegates. The first general session ran pretty smoothly in spite of the efforts of a small and very loud minority.

Tommorrow I expect it will be a bit more "Exciting"! I was asked to be one of the people that "Second" one of the nominations in our CD for National Delegate. Darlene and I attended the Texas Republican County Chairman Association Brunch today. Michael William, the Chairman of the Railroad Commission gave an outstanding speach at the brunch. Govenor Perry also spoke at the brunch but with his record I have alot of problems putting alot of trust in his claims to be a "Conservative" Republican.

I thought Tina Benkiser (Chairman, Republican Party of Texas), did an outstanding job of being patient today during the 1st General Session today.

I really don't get that upset when People disagree with my politically. I can respect someone that disagree's with when they are honest about their beliefs. What I detest is someone that lies to me! I guess that is why I am so disgusted with the Ron Paul movement. Texas Rangers (MLB)

Our Little Texas Rangers are actually playing very good baseball. Their record stands at 25 wins and 25 losses and they are only 4 games out of first place in the American League West. They have won 7 of their last 8 series and split the 8th against the Minnesota Twins.

They started a three game series against the slumping Cleveland Indians. The Rangers won the first game 13 to 9 in a real slugfest. I expect that Clevelands pitching will soon return the Indians to prominance but lets hope that it starts after this weekend.

Blalock was supposed to return to the Rangers this weekend and start his new job at first base. However his return has been delayed as he fights through a case of carpel tunnel syndrome.

Josh Hamilton continues to tear up pitching in his mad dash for the MLB Triple Crown. Josh has a .335 batting average (2nd in the AL), leads the AL with 12 home runs and leads all of Major League Baseball with 53 RBI's. Dallas Stars lose game six to the Detroit Red Wings but Every Stars fan and every Dallas area casual sports fan ought to be extremely proud of the performance these guys put out this year. The playoff run was exciting and a real joy to be a part of (Even just as a fan). Thank You Stars!
