Ahmadinejad: Iran won't give up nuclear rights

TEHRAN,Iran (AP) - Iran will not give up "a single iota of its nuclear rights," the country's president said Saturday, rebuffing an informal deadline to stop expanding uranium enrichment or face more sanctions.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made the remarks during discussions with Syrian President Beshar Assad, who arrived in Tehran Saturday for a two-day visit, the Iranian president's official Web site said.

Assad is in Tehran to discuss Iran's controversial uranium enrichment following a request from French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Brother Love and his traveling Snake Oil Show

Last Week Brother Love and his Traveling Snake Oil Tour took their ultra liberal message to Europe and the Middle East. Judging by the large crowds and excited greetings there is no doubt that Brother Love is the leading Candidate for President among people that HATE American and want to KILL Americans. Not since Elmer Gantry has so many people bought into the snake oil scam of a single charismatic con artist. However, unlike Elmer Gantry the snake oil that Brother Love (Barak Obama) is selling will do irreparable harm to America. Lets take a quick look at some of the "Ideals" that he is promising to deliver if he is elected President.

Taxes -- Brother Love promises to undo the Bush Tax rollback. Now I know most folks think that this will only affect the rich. Of course the reason people think that is because the Mainstream Media (ABC, CBS, NBC & CNN) all report that "Fact". Unfortunately like the media reports of the mass murders in the Superdome during Hurricane Katrina their reporting and the truth have very little in common. If Senator Obama repeals the Bush Tax Cuts expect your annual tax bill to almost double that is if you make less than 50,000 dollars a year. If you make more than that, you might as well just sign your check over to Uncle Sam cause what you are gonna get to keep would not even make a good tip at IHOP.

Health Care -- Better get sick now, cause after Brother Love gets his hands on the American Health care system you will be dealing with a redtape jungle that would make Hillary-Care look like a good ideal. Be prepared for a health care system with all the efficiency of FEMA (remember New Orleans) and the Compassion of the IRS! Brother Love will mandate what medical student’s study, which specialties they go into and where they can practice. You think the waiting line at the Emergency Room is long? Just wait till Senator Obama's plan is put into affect and the waiting list for routine surgeries is measured in Months instead of days and the wait for Emergency is measured in days instead of hours. If you want an example of what the medical care will be like just take a trip up to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lancaster Texas. Or go back and read the news reports of the "Health Care" that our returning soldiers were receiving at Walter Reed in Washington DC.

Iraq -- Can you say "Cut and Run"? Our troops will be pulled out of Iraq so fast that there will be traffic jams in the air above Baghdad. I realize that some of yall might think this is a good thing. Look how well it worked for Spain when they backed down to the Terrorists, It resulted in MORE terrorist attacks in Spain. Let me remind everyone of a few facts, World War Two ended in Europe in April of 1945 ---- There are STILL American Troops in Germany. World War Two ended in the Pacific in August of 1945 --- There are STILL American Troops in Japan. The Korean War ended in the mid 1950's --- There are STILL American Troops in Korea as a matter of fact I did a tour at Osan Air Base in Korea. In the early 90's we fought a war against IRAQ and didn't stay around to make sure the job was finished. As a direct result of that we had to fight a second war with Iraq!

Iran -- Brother Love wants to sit down and have Tea and cookies with President Ahmadinejad of Iran. This is the same terrorist that attacked the American Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and took Americans hostage for 444 days. This is the same terrorist that routinely refers to the United States as the "Great Satan". This is the same terrorist that has threatened to destroy both Israel and the United States. This is the same terrorist that is spending millions of oil dollars to build a Nuke. Well Gee Whiz, why do I get the feeling we cant trust this piece of human scum?

Abortion -- Brother Love voted in favor of Partial Birth Abortion!

Gas Prices -- Brother Loved voted AGAINST drilling in AMWR! Brother Love voted AGAINST Drilling off the coasts of our nation. Senator Obama has voted AGAINST every single bill that would have helped to cut our dependency on Foreign Oil.

Gun Control – Brother Love is so far to the left on this issue it is amazing that he does not fall over. Senator Obama Is OPPOSED to Conceal and Carry Laws. Senator Obama is In FAVOR Of restricting the inter-state sale of Firearms. Senator Obama is in FAVOR of REQUIRING a trigger lock for all guns. Senator Obama is in FAVOR of the BANNING Of all Semi-Automatic Shotguns and other of the so called "Assault Weapons".

Senator Obama is Promising Change we can believe in. I believe the changes he has in mind are BAD for America!

Iran Test-Fires More Missiles in Gulf; Rice Issues Warning

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran test-fired more long-range missiles overnight in a second round of exercises meant to show that the country can defend itself against any attack by the U.S. or Israel, Iranian state television reported Thursday.

The weapons have "special capabilities" and included missiles launched from naval ships in the Persian Gulf, along with torpedoes and surface-to-surface missiles, the broadcast said. It did not elaborate.

A brief video clip showed two missiles being fired simultaneously in the darkness.

With the cost of gas a top issue in the presidential campaign, Barack Obama on Sunday will announce a plan to crack down on oil speculation by tightening regulations on energy traders.

The announcement is further evidence that an Obama administration would take an activist, populist approach to regulating business.

Obama wants to close a loophole in federal law that exempts some energy traders from regulations that govern other exchange-traded commodities. Democrats call this “the Enron loophole” because it benefited the Houston energy-speculation firm that collapsed in an accounting scandal.

Sharpton vows to 'close this city' after officer acquittals

NEW YORK (AP) - Hundreds of angry people marched through Harlem on Saturday after the Rev. Al Sharpton promised to "close this city down" to protest the acquittals of three police detectives in the 50-shot barrage that killed a groom on his wedding day and wounded two friends.

"We strategically know how to stop the city so people stand still and realize that you do not have the right to shoot down unarmed, innocent civilians," Sharpton told an overflow crowd of several hundred people at his National Action Network office in the historically black Manhattan neighborhood. "This city is going to deal with the blood of Sean Bell."

Five British hostages who were kidnapped in Iraq almost a year ago are being held inside Iran by Revolutionary Guards, according to two separate sources in the Middle East and London.

The hostages were handed over to the Revolutionary Guards by their Iraqi kidnappers last November, the sources believe. One of the sources said they were being held in the western Iranian city of Hamadan.

Walking that fine line

Walking that fine line between speaking my mind and throwing gas on the fires of controversy will be my job for the next few years. As I have mentioned I was elected Hunt County Republican Party Chairman during March, my term officially begins on April 28th (According to the paper work I got in the mail today). So I find my self in the position of trying to continue to speak my mind on local and national issues without crossing the line and embarrasing Hunt County. So I am asking yall to be patient with me as I learn this "Skill" and let me know when I go to far or when I seem to be dancing around an issue.

I thought we would discuss a few of things that are on my mind at the moment, not all political. Like most folks My life does not revolve around politics, it includes sports, entertainment and other things that bounce around in my head.

Today on the Mark Davis (WBAP 820 AM out of Dallas), I heard a news report that Condi Rice is actively seeking the VP nomination. I am not sure exactly how I feel about that ideal. I am hoping that Senator McCain will pick a hardline conservative to be his running mate. I like Condi but she has not exactly flooded us with her beliefs on many of the key issues that should shape the choice for VP. McCain needs to pick someone that is Pro 2nd Amendment, Pro War on Terrorism, Pro Life, Pro Border Control, in Favor of Smaller Govt and in his late 40's or early 50's. A perfect candidate would be JC Watts of Oklahoma.

On April 19th 2008 we will be having the Grand Opening of the New Hunt County Republican Party Headquarters. Our new Office is in downtown Greenville (2518 Lee Street) across from the County Courthouse. To be honest I worry about the financing of the HQ and the party for the next few years. As I did with the Club and the Picnic's that I coordinated for the last few years I did a rough estimate of expenses and projected donations. I have gotten committments from two elected officials for sizeable donations (I will not share their names till I actually have the money in the Party Checking account) that will give us a good start on fundraising. However, the key to financing the Party will depend on our Grand Opening fundraiser and getting committments from local Republicans to make monthly donations. The way I have it figured (and I admit my estimated costs are probably high) I need to get 40 folks to committ to a $25 monthly donation. Or raise the equivalent amount from the fundraiser. We do have a couple of good items donated for the Auction (A CDL Course for two and a Republican Flag signed by a few elected officials). More items are being donated but I am not aware of exactly what they will be yet. I also know I can count on Senator Deuell and State Rep Dan Flynn to support the party financially but my goal is ensure that the County Party can continue to grow and lets face facts that takes money.

It seems that one of the Democrat Candidates for President is easily confused about the difference between rhetoric and fact. Senator Hillary Clinton recently made the claim that She came under "Sniper Fire" when she landed in Bosnia during her husbands Term as President. Let me point out to Senator Clinton that if you have time to stop and kiss a cute kid then you are not fleeing sniper fire.

I can remember when blatant racism was frowned upon by most Democrats. Now days it seems that it's ok for a Democrat to overlook little things like that if his name is Senator Barak Obama and the Racism is against Whites. Face Facts I am a bit of a cynic. Long ago I realized that most of what we see on the internet and get in emails is pure nonsense. Recently I posted a story about Senator Obama refusing to put his hand over his heart during the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem.
