I am a conservative, I make no bones about that. I have always been very proud of that fact and unlike Democrats I dont try to hide my beliefs under false labels. To be honest I am extremely conservative on most issues.

I am opposed to abortion, I would agree with the overturning of Roe Vs Wade. That way the issue would be returned to the state level where it should be decided.

I support the President's use of wiretapping to catch people that are trying to kill Americans. I don't care if one end of the conversation is taking place in the United States -- if at least one end of the conversation involves a Terrorist then the NSA should be listening in.

I support making the Tax cuts Permanent. The Govt does not need more of our money! I am opposed to the increase of the "Sin Tax" on cigarettes here in Texas, instead of raising taxes the schools systems should be cutting back on the number of "Supervisors" and "Front Office" types and put more emphasis on actually teaching. I am also opposed to a school system, any school system building a multi-million dollar football facility. The objective of our school system is NOT to teach football.

I believe the war on Terrorism is a good thing. I believe removing Saddam was a good thing. I dont disagree that the price is high, but the price of liberating 70 million people is never cheap.

I oppose illegal immigration. I personally think the United States should build a wall the entire length of our border with Mexico. Further I think we should deport every single illegal alien in this country. I also think we should slam large fines on any company that hires illegals and jail their CEO. IF we did this to a few companies then the jobs would dry up.

That being said, I find myself growing disgusted with many of the conservatives that I normally agree with on the boards I post too. The growing resentment of illegal aliens is beginning to turn into bigotry. I am not a "PC" person by nature, I believe that folks get way to hung up on idiot words and ideals. However, the use of words like wetback, greaser, beener and other generic insults to folks of hispanic heritage to describe the illegal aliens in nothing less than bigotry. This is the type of behaviour that we should expect from the Ku Klux Klowns not from rational conservatives. IF I was to post a bunch of jokes about Blacks everyone would condemn me for being a racist! If I was to post a bunch of jokes about Jews everyone would condemn for such blantant antisemism (spelling). For some reason some conservatives dont have a problem with an equally ugly bunch of jokes about Mexicans. Perhaps someone can explain the difference to me!

I have been told I am being PC or over sensitive. I have been told that I am wrong to be offended by this BLANTANT RACISM! The truth of the matter is that many of the more strident board poster conservatives have decided it is "OK" to be bigoted against Mexicans. BULLSHIT!!!

I doubt they will lose any sleep over my condemnation, but I feel compelled to condemn them anyway. These are people that I once had a lot of respect for. I can no longer respect them and find it hard to even join them in a discussion. I dont make it a habit to talk to Ku Klux Klowns, Neo Nazi's or any other bigots.

I find myself looking for a new conservative forum to post in. I welcome suggestions and links
