Day 10

Ok, I will admit today I am a bit freaked out. Been on edge most of the day and more than just a bit cranky. BUT I still aint given in and smoked.

Well the Mavs winning streak ended at 13 with a loss to the hated Lakers. The New streak has already started with a win over the Utah Jazz. The Mavs are 28-8 with a game lead over the Phoenix Suns. Even more important a 3 game lead over the San Antionio Spurs.

I admit that I am not much of a hockey fan. I only learned a few days ago that the 2007 NHL All Star Game is being held in Dallas. Our local team the Dallas Stars are 26 - 17 with 44 points. The amazing thing about the All Star Game being held in Dallas is that not a single Dallas Star will be starting in the game. Kinda Pathetic but then what do you expect when you bring Hockey to Texas?

The first Post Playoff change has come to the Mighty Dallas Chokeboys. Defensive Coordinator Zimmerman is out of here. He has decided to take the exact same job in Atlanta. I guess Coach Zimmerman could read the handwriting on the wall. Now hopefully Bill "I Used to be a great Coach" Parcells will read the same handwriting and retire.

Yesterday Speaker of the Texas House Craddock was re-elected in a landslide. His opponenet choose to pull out of the race because their would not be a "Secret" ballot. What every happened to the concept of standing up for what you believe? Should we assume that the majority of the elected members of the Texas House only stand up for their principles when they can do so anonymously. I will give my Rep --- Dan Flynn a pass on this particular item because I know for a fact that he supported Speaker Craddock. So now the Texas Legislature is in session and what should we expect from it. I know what I would like to see:

1) I would like to see the state of Texas step forward and start building the wall on the border itself, since the federal Government has no intention of defending the border from this invasion of criminals.

2) We found out earlier this week that the State of Texas has a Budget SURPLUS --- In plain English that means the State of Texas has collected to much in Taxes. It would be real nice if we could expect the see the immediate repeal of the One Dollar Per Pack tax on Ciggerates to support the education of Illegal aliens.

3) I would love to see some real serious explanation of why and if we need this Trans-Texas Corrider. I am not exactly opposed to it but I have alot of questions about why we need it.

4) I would like to see the State of Texas get serious about deporting every single illegal alien within its borders. I can think on absolutely no reason that our police officials should not be asking for citizenship proof when every they stop anyone, Why our State "Assistance" workers dont ask for proof of citizenship BEFORE they process any aid for an applicant.

5) I would like to see the State of Texas adopt ENGLISH as its official language. Since it is a requirement of citizenship that any "Naturalized" citizen have a working knowledge of English before they can become a citizen, lets do away with all State Forms written in any language other than English.

Tonight President Bush is going to tell us how he thinks we ought to fight the War in Iraq. Of course the Democrats have already made it clear that they have no intention of supporting the President, The troops or the best intrests of the United States. There only goal is regaining control of the White House. Sentor Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy is already talking about requiring the President to get approval from the Senate before he sends more troops. Perhaps the Chrysler Killer ought to read the constitution of the United States (I am sure they make a water proof copy), I am sure it would come as a big shock to him that the President is the Commander in Chief not some drunken secretary killing Senator from the Peoples Republic of Massachusettes. Queen Nancy is also making noises about refusing to "Fund" the troops in Iraq, Gee whiz I guess the Democrat definition of supporting the troops and the one that every sane person uses are dramatically different.
