This is gonna be a hard day to survive without smoking. Today is the Championship games for the NFC and AFC.

Speaking of Football Championships

NFC

Chicago Bears vs the New Orleans Saints. For years like most people I have chanted that defense wins championships, and for a fact it does. However I find it hard to believe that you can win a championship without having a QB. The Bears are trying to see if they can go to the Super Bowl with a great defense and a very inferior starting QB. All I can say is go Saints.

AFC

Back in the 70's and 90's I used to hear folks say they were sick and tired of the Dallas Cowboys winning. They wanted to see anyone but Dallas, at the time I didn't understand that kind of thinking. Now I do, I am sick and tired of the Patriots. They have won 3 Super Bowls out of the last 5. Five Division Championships in the last 6 years and their record since 2000 is 75 wins and 37 loses (that includes the 5 -11 record in the year 2000). They have dominated the AFC for long enough. Time for someone else to take the crown. GO PAYTON GO

NBA

Last year my beloved Mavericks went to their very first NBA Championship series ---- and lost to the Miami Heat. Tonight is the first rematch since game 6 of the NBA Championship. Mavs have the best record in Basketball right now and the Heat are playing sub-500 ball. Go Mavs Go
