Rangers go into spring with fresh leadership, Sosa and Gagne

Sammy Sosa didn't even play last season. Closer Eric Gagne hardly pitched the past two years because of injuries. Ron Washington has never managed in the big leagues.
The former MVP, once-dominating Cy Young Award winner and rookie manager will come together in spring training for the Texas Rangers.
Sosa and Gagne want to prove themselves again in the major leagues — for drastically different reasons. Washington brings a fresh perspective to the clubhouse, a much-needed change from the micromanaging, hands-on leader he replaced.
