A Long Week

Day 148

It's been another long week and once again I have fallen behind in posting to this blog. It's been a rough week but hopefully things will start returning to normal around here soon.

Crystal, Randell and my grandson moved in with us then moved out again. They are "Staying" with his Sister and Brother-In-Law until their apartment is ready in a couple of weeks. They said they moved out because the drive from Celeste to Richardson everyday was killing them on Gas. I don't want to say that I doubt that but lets be honest I find it extremely hard to believe that the reason they moved out was the drive time and gas prices.

We continue to move forward on the picnic for the GOP Club. I went and spoke to the Van Zandt Republican Club last Monday. I still need to go talk to Delta County and a few others. I am going to try and send out another round of letters this week.

My Health continues to improve, I am almost back to normal (or at least normal for me). It is hard to get used to taking pills every single morning but I am trying to get into the habit. So far I have done pretty good only missing one or two days in the first month.

Got the New John Adams Gold Dollar --- This "Commerative" coin ideal has to be one of the best ones the mint has ever had. I know we keep 5 copies of every quarter and several copies of every Gold Dollar. They may never get popular enough to replace the paper buck but it is for sure they are making a profit for the mint.

Lets talk Movies, it is so nice to be able to afford to go out again. This month we have seen:

1) Spiderman 3 ---- 3 1/2 out of 5 stars
2) Shrek 3 ---- 2 out of 5 stars
3) Delta Farce ---- 1 out of 5 stars
4) Ghost Rider ----- 3 1/2 out of 5 stars
5) Pirates 3 -------- 4 out of 5 stars
6) The Last Mimzy -- 3 out of 5 stars

Even though I cant stand Johnny Depp and really and truely wanted to hate the Pirate movies because he was in them I have to admit that they are a ton of fun. No matter what his politics Depp is a good actor.

Televison ---

We missed the season finale for Heroes. Had a meeting to go to and was not able to record it. Sometimes you just cant win. The Season fiale of "Lost" was very good but still left too many unanswered questions. Kyle XY, Monk, Dead Zone and Dr Who all begin their new seasons soon so it looks like it will be a good Summer for the tube.

Of course the big news around here has nothing to do with Television, Movies, Poitics or books. The Big news is that my youngest Ashley graduated from High School this month. Hard to believe my baby is 18 years old now and getting ready to move out.

Sports ----

The Texas Rangers have tanked again. They are one of the worst teams in the Major Leagues again this year and without a doubt the worst organization in Professional Baseball. I guess until the NFL season starts we are stuck just dreaming about past sports events since the Mavericks Choked this year, The Stars quit in the first round and the Rangers SUCK bigtime.
