Tonight I attended the Canidate's forum in Quinlan Texas. Unlike most of the forum's I have attended lately this one mixed Democrats and Republican candidates. The majority of the time the forum went exactly like every other forum I have been to lately. There were two notable exceptions:
1) The Sheriff candidates were asked if they would "Rehire" a County employee that had been fired with reason. The reason behind this question was the rumour that one of the Republican Candidates is planning on hiring a Hunt County Ex-Employee that was fired for abusing her positions. The charges against her were dropped because our County District Attorney allowed the statue of liminations to run out before turning the case over to a special Prosecutor. Dewey Watson (D) said he would not (Sorta), Randy Meeks (R) said he would not, Robert White (R) said he would not, Richard Hill (R) Did not answer the question.
2) The Democrat Candidate for Congress (Texas District 4) was asked "Would you join the leadership of your party in voting to cut off funding to our Soldiers while they are being Shot at". (Yes, I asked the question). HE responded by saying that "No Democrat had EVER voted to cut off funding" --- at this point I started shaking my finger at him and he said "Don't shake your finger at me". Since we were at an event sponsered by the Quinlan Chamber of Commerce I manged to restrain myself from shouting out "That's a Lie". I suspect this will not be the last "Dust Up" between myself and this LYING democrat Politician.
