This is not a regular column. It's more a gripe session. So here are the things that are bugging me at the moment.

1) Is it just me or is it a bit on the hypocritical side that many of the same people that lambasted President Bush about picking Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court are now shouting at the democrats that winning Presidents get to choose who sits on the court? Dont misunderstand me, The more I learned about Harriet Miers the harder it was to support her nomination until ultimately I came to the conclusion that she was a bad choice. I did write to my Senators and suggest that they oppose the nomination. Today I was listening to some folks on the radio roasting the democrats for opposing Judge Alido and I got to thinking "These are the same people that opposed Ms Miers". I suspect my side (Conservatives) are having a bad case of "not seeing the forest for the trees". I sincerly hope that Judge Alido is confirmed but this whole fiasco has made me look at the subject in a whole new light.

2) The inditement of Scooter Libby. He was indited for not mentioning a conversation when he was first questioned but his notes reminded him about. He was NOT idited for "outing" Valerie Plame because she was not covered by the law in question. Is this yet another case of an overzealous Prosecuter? Cant prove the crime so indite for the testimony. This is the exact same thing they did to Martha Stewart.

3) Go Tom Go, Delay is making Ronnie Earl and the DNC look like complete fools.

4) Does the "Leadership of the Democrat Party" have short term memory problems? They demanded a closed door session of the Senate today to discuss the Intel that got us into the Iraq war. The same Intel that they based their VOTE on in 2002, the same Intel that President Clinton BOMBED Iraq on. I am really getting sick of this Hate-Bush, Gotcha Politics that has come to dominate the radical liberal wing of the Democratic party.

5) It was all over the local news today that many of the Katrina evacuees are going to be evicted up in Dallas in the near future because their "FREE" rent has run out and they are not paying. Does this surprise anyone? Where is Commisar Miller and her bleeding heart liberal minions now to sell beads to pay their rent. Come on Mayor Miller lets hear from you.
