We lost a True American Hero Today

He was never a Football Star or on the Television, I doubt many of us were ever lucky enough to know him. I never had the pleasure of meeting him face to face instead our friendship was entirely thru this medium known as the computer. I had a great deal of respect this older gentleman. I sought out his critisism, thoughts and suggestions on my writing. I may not have always taken his suggestion but I usually saw the merit in what he had to say. He will be missed by everyone who's life he touched. Goodbye "Mr Ben", I know you are in a better place tonight.

Benjamin Harrison McCormick, Jr., in his 85th year, passed away on March 14, 2007 at the Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington, DE.

Ben is survived by Jayne, his wife of almost 39 years; two stepsons, Richard and Joseph Shafer, his wife Paula; grandsons, James, Joseph, Jordan Shafer and Joseph Duckworth. He is also survived by a brother, Joseph Elmer McCormick and his wife Marie, 7 nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. Cousins, Howard Creswell, Ralph & Thomas McKeown and G. W. Morgan also survive.
