LONE OAK — The City of Lone Oak has no police force.As of Thursday night, both Chief Neil Dent and Lone Oak’s only other officer, Mike Roach, had both submitted their resignations. The Lone Oak City Council, after meeting in executive session for less than an hour Thursday, accepted the resignation of Dent.

The Lone Oak City Council, after meeting in executive session for less than an hour Thursday, accepted the resignation of Dent.
Lone Oak Mayor Lisa Willis did not say what reasons Dent gave for resigning.
“He just gave us his resignation on (June) 16,” Willis said.
