Judicial Abuse

Over the last few decades our judicial system has begun to breakdown. Slowly, but surely, the rights of the criminal have outstripped the rights of the victims. Bit by bit these tyrants in black robes have set aside our constitutional rights with their interpretations of the law. It's not every Judge who has decided to ignore the Constitution and common sense in favor of legislating "fairness," but the ones that have, get all the press, and set the precedence.

Murderers have been set free because some technicality has been accidentally overlooked by the Police when they were arresting these animals or investigating the havoc they cause. Rapists have been freed because the search warrants had typos on them. In a very famous case in California, a Killer was freed because a glove didn't fit him ---- totally disregarding the DNA evidence that pointed to him as the killer. Terrorists have been granted the same rights as American Citizens, completely ignoring the fact that they are 1) Not American Citizens, 2) Trying to Kill Americans.

The Courts have found rights where none existed, such as the Constitutional right to privacy. A right that is not mentioned, or implied, in any clause, or amendment, to the constitution. They have discovered a "Separation of Church and State" clause in the constitution that bars the words "Under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance. This "Wall of Separation" they discovered, is not to be found anywhere in the written Constitution, instead, it's in the "Living Breathing Constitution" that we cannot see but the Judges can. Perhaps it is pinned to the inside of their black robes. However, for some reason they cannot see rights that are specifically spelled out in black and white in the second amendment. They can find "Civil Rights" for the animals following Osama Bin Laden, but they can't find any rights to protect the unborn. These inconsistencies are frustrating and feeding a growing disenchantment, within our nation, with Judges who no longer understand Justice.

Every time you think they have mangled the law as much as humanly possible, some Judge sinks to a new low. On the 4th of January 2006, in a courtroom in Vermont, a convicted Child Rapist was sentenced to 60 days in Jail for the crime and ordered to seek counseling. Mark Hulett, a confessed child rapist, started raping this little girl when she was 7. He continued to rape her on a regular basis for FOUR years. Judge Edward Cashman sentenced him to 60 days in jail because in the Judges own words "He no longer believes that punishment works."

I can hear you screaming that this kind of miscarriage of Justice could never happen in Texas. WRONG! Recently, in a Texas courtroom, a man convicted of murdering his own child was sentenced to TWO YEARS in Jail.

These are not isolated incidents, they are not moments of Judicial insanity. They are, instead, the latest signs of a Judiciary out of control. You might ask "what can I do to stop this type of Judicial Abuse?" Should we all go camp out at the courthouse and carry signs condemning these Judges? No, you will be arrested and unlike the child rapist or the child killer, they will persecute you to the fullest extent of the law. So are we powerless? Is there nothing we can do to stop this?

The answer will sound trite. The answer will sound like the same old thing we are always told to do when we are unhappy. The funny thing is, that every time we actually exercise this option, it works. This option, when properly used, scares the living beejeebers out of Judges, Congressmen, Senators, Governors, Mayors, and every other elected official.

What is this amazing option? Simple, Get informed, find out which Judges are NOT handing out sentences that match the crimes and VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE! We have that option here in Texas, here in Hunt County. We can send a message to these out of control Judges that we will not accept 60 day sentences for Child Molesters, or 2 year sentences for Child Killers. Check their record and send them home.
