Just Another Day in Paradise

Just like the title says today was just another day in Paradise. Everytime I got out of the truck to read meters today it rained on me. An extremely frustrating day walking around in wet socks. Sometimes I have to keep reminding myself that I love my job.

My Rangers continue to play baseball in the turtle necked jerseys (CHOKE). I dont know if it's the manager, the General Manager or the entire front office but something has to change. Since we cant fire the Owner (THE REAL PROBLEM), it looks like another manager will get the axe and the Rangers will continue to be one of the worst teams in the history of Baseball.

It continues to rain here in North Texas. It seems like we have gotten more rain in the last six weeks than we got in the last two years. It just keeps raining! We have had Flash Flood warnings constantly for what seems like two months. I guess the drought is finally over, since all of our lakes are not just full but starting to overflow.

I read on one of the boards that I like to post too that yet another Wrestler has met with an early death. Chris Benoit and his wife and his 7 year old son were all found dead in their home. Fox news is reporting that it was a murder-suicide. What price are these young athletes paying to be "Stars" in this "Sport".

The Laura Miller Era ended today in Dallas. THANK GOODNESS IT'S FINALLY OVER! Commissar Miller was the worst Mayor in the history of Dallas. Her total and complete lack of respect for the rights of the individual and her obvious hatred big business really hurt the city I grew up in. They are talking about her legacy being the lifting of that idiotic "Wright" Amendment from Love Field, I tend to disagree. I believe her legacy will be her trampling on business rights and the fact that she did her best to ensure that the Dallas Cowboys did NOT move to Dallas.

It looks like this horrible terrible disgusting Bush-Kennedy-McCain Amnesty bill is going to make it to a vote in the Senate. Once again the RINO Republicans are letting us down and allowing the Demoncrats run all over them. Although, I have to admit this time this Garbage is being pushed by a Republican President. I proudly voted for Bush twice for Govenor and twice for President. I would not vote for him again even if he was allowed to run for a third term. His refusal to protect our border and his insistance on providing Amnesty to the 12+ Million illegal aliens that have invaded our nation will color his "legacy". Instead of being remembered as the President that led our nation during the war on terror, he will be remembered as the President that gave away our sovernity.

The Mainstream Media is panting like an ape in heat about the fact that Paris Hilton is getting out of jail tonight. Who cares? She has no talent, No brains and is only famous for getting filmed doing something that most of us would never consider filming. She is trash, very rich trash but still trash.
