Just Another Sunday

Sometimes the hardest thing in the world is remembering not everyone has the fire in their belly the way I do. I have to keep telling myself that all the efforts I put out are worth the time and energy that they cost. My Granpa used to tell me that God would not give us a burden that was too much for us to bear. So I keep pushing and working, keep demanding more of myself than I do from others. I know the Club I have worked so hard to build can influence what goes on in Hunt County, I know if we conservatives band together and get out and do the hard work, the leg work that the elected officials will listen to us.

Got to see my Niece (Amy) and her two kids today for the first time in about 11 years. Amy is a very pretty little girl and her two kids are outstanding. Alex is a nice little gentleman and Trinity is a beutifull little girl. We had little Billy with us. It was kinda cool had 4 of the 6 Grandchildren of my generation together for the first time ever. My Brother's Grand Daughter, Two of my Sister's four grandkids and my Grandson. I will post some photo's as soon as I get them downloaded from the Camera.

The first half of this post sounds kinda depressed, But dont worry I am not down. Just a passing mood this morning. I enjoy the work I do (Paid and Unpaid) and even though I occasionally wonder if I am wasting my time I dont let it stop me.

The war against smoking is an ongoing project. I keep trying --- if you have ever quit smoking or tryed to quit you understand what I am talking about. It is a pure dee Hillary of habit to give up.

If yall have not seen it, let me recommend "Daddy's Little Girls". It is a true gem of a movie. A great little "B" movie.

Sammy Sossa hit his 600th Home Run this week. But you gotta ask yourself how many of those dingers are tainted by Steroids and corked bats. I realize he plays for my team, but I dont consider this a real achievement because Sammy is a proven cheater (The corked bat). His milestone is a meaninless as Barry Bond's run for Hank Aaron's record.
